Originally from Florence, Alabama, singer-songwriter Bailey White prides herself on her soul-laden Americana. It’s understandable—evocative of a contemporary spin on the Muscle Shoals style, there’s a lot to appreciate about the work that White is turning.

Energizing White’s ascension in the roots realm is the recent release of a critically acclaimed EP, What to Say, which was produced by the likes of the Grammy-winning Jimmy Nutt (SteelDrivers, Percy Sledge) and well-regarded songwriter James LeBlanc. Following up on the EP’s release is a brand new set of acoustic renditions of its songs in the aptly-named What to Say (Acoustic), dropped on 17 May.

In celebration of her acoustic EP release, White is sharing a live performance visual of its titular song with For Folk’s Sake. Shot by Noah Tidmore, the video features White performing the heart-tugging tune with aplomb. A natural writer and interpreter of song, there’s plenty of room for White amidst the bursting Muscle Shoals revival. We are eagerly anticipating where she will take us next.
