The folks at bandstand busking have announced the first busk of the spring. FFS’s favourite boy-girl shout-folk duo Slow Club will play alongside Theoretical Girl this Sunday 5th April at the Northampton Square bandstand in Islington, North London.
Cambridge festival The Secret Garden Party has announced the first batch of acts for 2009 including Jarvis Cocker, Emmy the Great, Slow Club, Peggy Sue and Still Flyin’.

Jeremy Warmsley has spilled the heart-shaped beans on the line-up for his Heartbreak Ball. The swoon-fest will take place at The Slaughtered Lamb in Clerkenwell, where Warmsley will be joined by Johnny Flynn, the delectable Slow Club, Gossamer Albatross, A Classic Education and lovely Stars of Sunday League.

Charming Sheffield duo Slow Club are bringing their storming live show to Urban Outfitters near Oxford Street on October 15, according to a last minute message posted on their MySpace page today.
A remixed version of New York keyboardists Au Revoir Simone’s debut LP The Bird of Music will be released on November 11th.
The new album, entitled Reverse Migration, features a cover of The Lucky One by For Folk’s Sake darlings Slow Club alongside remixes by Jean-Benoît Dunckel of Air and Keith Murray from We Are Scientists. It will be released by Au Revoir Simone’s own label: Our Secret Recording Company.
Peggy Sue will curate a ‘Horror Movie Marathon’ gig at The Windmill on 31st October. The duo (/trio depending on whether the drummer boy is permanent…) will be playing along with Slow Club.
On Saturday 27th September South Street Arts Centre will play host to a one-off show featuring UK folk troubador Adem. Support comes from Russ Alsop and FFS favourites Slow Club.
