Communion has announced the line up for its series of Flowerpot shows, starting today featuring Mumford & Sons, Sarah Blasko and Angus & Julia Stone.

The label and club night, which released a compilation album including tracks from Alessi, Johnny Flynn and Broadcast 2000 last year, will take over the North London venue for 7 days. The bands will work on collaborations over the time and record them in a temporary studio set up above the venue.

In the evenings the Flowerpot will be open to punters for live shows. Entrance is first-come-first-served. Doors open at 7pm.

Communion’s Kevin Jones: “We wanted to do something a bit different and more challenging than just put on a bunch of cool gigs in a venue, and this definitely seems like a challenge.

“So many amazing artists are giving up their time to Communion and we’re looking forward to hearing what comes out of these recording sessions as well as seeing some fantastic bands in a tiny venue. It’s going to be chaotic, but definitely worth it!”

Line up:
Monday: Mt Desolation (featuring members of Mumford & Sons, Jesse Quinn & the Mets), Lissie, The Staves, James Moss
Tuesday: Angus & Julia Stone, Sarah Blasko
Wednesday: Kill it Kid, The Joker & the Thief
Thursday: Marcus Foster, Kyla la Grange
Friday: Lyrebirds, The Agitator
Saturday: Members of Mumford & Sons, TBC
Sunday: Beans on Toast, Handshake, Crowns, Hot Feet, Tom McKean & the Emporers, Monument Valle

FFS will be around all week, bringing you reports from behind the scenes. See you there!
