Blue Roses

Bradford’s Laura Groves has renamed herself under the moniker of the rarest of flowers. Possessing a haunting voice and flawless musicianship, she’s no shrinking violet, describing her music as “textured, emotive, eclectic, personal, delicate.”

Blue Roses, aka Laura Groves has a voice that could warm a November morning in Glasgow-no mean feat.
I first heard her on the ever-wonderful 6Music and she deserves a wider audience.
Her songs play like nursery rhymes, simple but with an under-current, something off-kilter.
She’ll be up there with Ms. Marling soon, mark my words.
