The band are scheduled to close the festival on Sunday night, but have not played live since Dwane, who recently posted this picture of himself on the Mumford & Sons website, first entered hospital with a blood clot on his brain two weeks ago.
Keyboard player Ben Lovett confirmed they would be back in business at the weekend, telling the Radio Times: “We’re going to get back out on that stage at Glastonbury as four brothers and do what we do.”
The band have also rearranged the US shows that had to be cancelled in the wake of Dwane’s surgery.
The new dates appeared on their website with a message saying: “We are pleased to report that our beloved Ted is making a steady recovery from his operation and wearing his newly acquired shaven-headed hairstyle with enviable levels of suave. A huge, huge thank you to all for your messages of support; the man himself is rather overwhelmed.”
