Jay Jay Pistolet releases EP details

Hampshire folkster Jay Jay Pistolet has posted details of his forthcoming EP on his myspace. Three out of four of the tracks were produced by Noah and the Whale’s Charlie Fink and the fourth by Johnny Flynn bassist Adam Beech.

The EP will be released on 17th November through Stiff Records, but copies will also be available ahead of the date on Laura Marling’s Night Terror tour on which Pistolet supports.

Laura Marling announces support for headline tour

Laura Marling’s people (yep, she has people, and a headquarters if her website is to be believed) have announced that Jay Jay Pistolet will be first support on her headline tour, apart from in Manchester where Peggy Sue and the Pictures will play.

Folk the south: Winchester Live

Winchester (incidentally For Folk’s Sake hometown) is to play host to a plethora of folk favourites at the inaugural week-long Winchester Live festival.
