#387 Liz Green – Rybka

Liz Green makes ‘tragicomic pop’ that imagines a dark, horribly grown-up fairytale realm of terrifying creatures and sinister folk. She’s into goblins and writes about blood rather a lot, and we love it all.

‘Rybka’ is a bluesy story of suicidal tendencies, men laden with death and talking crows with a video that features gravel hearts, sinister puppets and even more sinister puppeteers. Don’t watch it just before bed.

Liz Green’s second album, Haul Away, is out on 14th April.
