Preview | For Folk’s Sake @ #Blogtober 2018

Now in it’s 3rd year, #Blogtober is a month-long festival ran by Lost In The Manor at The Finsbury in London. Each night in October they host a line-up curated by a different blog. We’ve been taken part since the beginning, and we’re pleased to be returning with our curated show on Sunday 7th October.

Our featured acts represent a cross-section of the music you’ll find on the site. Headlining are the country/Americana duo Worry Dolls, freshly back from a trip to Nashville, where spent their time playing shows and writing songs with the likes of Jeff Cohen, Liz Longley and Beth Nielson Chapman. Their second album is now in progress and if we’re lucky we’ll get a preview of some new material.

In a more traditional English-folk vein, Bird In The Belly will be playing songs from their recent album The Crowing which set rarely told stories and poems to new music. And finally, opening the night we have Louis Brennan and his darkly humerous take on modern life.

Tickets are free, but you do need a ticket. Go the booking page and secure your place.
