Video premiere | The Strange Blue Dreams – Twilight Zone

Once in a while you come across a video that is just perfect for the song. Step inside Jaconelli’s Cafe and Swing, both in Glasgow, where the Strange Blue Dreams have created their ‘Twilight Zone’. Jaconelli’s is a particularly fitting venue for this intoxicating cocktail of doo wop harmonies and lush reverb – as this local institution was where musicians would gather in the late 1950s to pore over the latest imported records from across the Atlantic. ‘Twilight Zone’ has been a long-standing live favourite of the band’s, so gets the full video treatment just in time for the start of a UK tour later this month. “It’s both the saddest hour and the most magical,” singer Dave Addison said. “The point between things, between waking and dreaming. We wanted to try (with this video) to get a sense of melancholy and longing for a different world”.
