Brian’s Mixtape | A very indie Christmas

Christmas owl

Dear readers,

I write to you in the most difficult of circumstances. It’s the most wonderful time of the year for a whole lot of people. Not for owls. At Christmas owls are ridiculed, patronised and treated like adorable ornaments, rather than with the respect our noble characters deserve. But despite all this, I can’t help but remain undeniably perky throughout the whole Christmas period. My usually dark and stormy countenance could cheer even a turkey who’s realised his festive fate, and the emotional turmoil would be difficult to handle if I weren’t in such a bloody good mood.

To rouse you all into a similar level of festive cheer, I invite you all to pick up a mulled wine or an eggnog latte, pull up a rug, and snuggle into my Christmas playlist. The entries are of a quality that will allow even the biggest Scrooge to ease into the spirit of the season.

Yours in unforeseen celebration,

Bri

PS. If you enjoy music of the Christmas sort you will definitely enjoy our compilation, For Folk’s Sake It’s Christmas 2012.
