Pirate station Radio Caroline celebrates 47th anniversary – plus unsigned bands get online – with Boat To Row live in session

Radio Caroline first took the airwaves by storm in 64 – when DJs like John Peel, Tony Blackburn and Dave Lee Travis played groundbreaking pop from the back of a boat.

Now they are running a short season of 24hour music broadcasts from presenters throughout their 47 year history.  It’s so far been a mixed bag of music – crossing genres and eras – from Mumford to Floyd, Zoey Van Goey, and The Ramones.

Tune in pretty much any time this weekend and support the pioneers of Pirate Radio!

Available online here, on Sky channel 0199, and on internet radio @ RadioCaroline.co.uk

New bands and new-band-fans should head over to the freshly launched Radio Caroline TV where music, videos and live Sunday afternoon streaming of brand new and unsigned bands will be a-happening.

Here’s a taster of what’s on offer – a live session from Boat To Row, recorded especially for Radio Caroline TV:
