Scary Mansion

Sunday sees the return of The Allotment — the band night run by Anika in London and FFS  — this time we’ll be bringing you Scary Mansion, The Tailors and Line & a Dot (as well as the usual delicious cakes and tiffin) in the cosy setting of The Slaughtered Lamb in Clerkenwell.

Our headliners Scary Mansion (MySpace) is one of Anika’s all time favourite acts. The Brooklyn NY band is fronted by Leah Hayes. Whose artwork and musings can be found on her website, leahhayes.com. Check out the band playing their track New Hampshire.

Second on will be The Tailors (MySpace). Frontman Adam Killip has come along to pretty much every Allotment show, so it’s high time we got him up on stage to showcase his own wonderful music to the Allotment crowd. Read Helen’s (ever-so-slightly-gushing) review of The Tailors’ album Come Dig Me Up.

Line and a Dot

And our opening act Line & A Dot (MySpace) is the stage name of an exciting new songwriting talent from Northampton, whose mum calls her Sarah. We were instantly charmed by her songs so we’re delighted she’s agreed to play. You don’t have to take our word that she’s great though, Sarah’s kindly said you can download her demos — Outside the Theatre Hall and The Worst Thing You Could Do — and hear for yourselves. Just click the links!

Tickets are available from We Got Tickets. We’d love to see you there.
