Laura Hocking gives away free music, plans single release

The inimitable Laura Hocking is giving away a whopping nine demo tracks over on her last fm page, including favourites ‘Oh La, Lolita’ and ‘Loves of a Girl Wrestler’. Download it now.

Laura and her band ‘The Long Goodbye’ also making plans for the first official release on her newly-formed label Chrome Yellow. It’s a double A-side featuring ‘Strongmen & Acrobats’ – a song about her autistic brother – and ‘Talented Tailor’, a tale of “forcible tattooing”.

The record was mixed and produced by Laura’s bassist “unsung hero” Phil Brillo, arrangements are by viola player Danyal Dhondy. Drummer Karl Penney and violinist Flora Curzon complete The Long Goodbye.

The songs will be released in March on 7-inch vinyl and each record comes with a CD with the single tracks and 2 bonus songs: ‘All Fall In’ and ‘Two-thirds is a Dream’.
