Pete Roe reveals details of new EP

10 May 2010
By Angeline Liles

You may not realise it, but you’ve probably seen Pete Roe’s face more than once. He has been a regular feature of Laura Marling’s live band for quite some time, and last Autumn played the roles of both supporting act and roadie for brothers-in-the-folk Mumford & Sons.

With the support of the fine fellows at the Communion label, Pete is stepping out by himself with brand new EP ‘The Merry-Go-Round’, to be released on 7th June. Full tracklisting is as follows:

1. Bellina

2. Oh Susannah

3. Underneath The Apple Tree

4. The Merry-Go-Round

To whet your appetite for what will be a remarkably poignant cluster of songs rich with storytelling, ‘Bellina’ is available as a free Mp3 download right here.

He’ll be hitting the road with his band in June, where you’ll be able to hear the EP and other gems played live:

Wednesday 9th: Glee Club, Birmingham
Thursday 10th: Trinity Church, Manchester
Friday 11th: Red Rooms, Nottingham
Sunday 13th: Louisiana, Bristol
Monday 14th: Sneaky Pete’s, Edinburgh
Tuesday 15th: Nice’n'Sleazys, Glasgow
Wednesday 16th: Luminaire, London
