Premiere | RiverChild – Someday We’ll Be Gone

So, where has For Folk’s Sake fan favorite RiverChild been since the last time we’ve seen him? Like any tried and true bard throughout English history, the indie folkster has been hard at work on weaving new musical threads to relay to his growing audience. Still unsigned, still unapologetically an unabashed folk singer at heart, he has a new one to grace our ears today by the name of ‘Someday We’ll Be Gone’.

As one might be able to infer by the name of this tune, it’s a melancholy strummer that evokes feelings of nostalgia and longing. It’s also one that yet again features his soulful trill as the sonic focal point of this pensive track as he centres himself on the idea that, yes indeed, someday we’ll be gone.

The song is available for free download via SoundCloud. If you’re in the area and are looking forward to catching RiverChild at one of his shows, feel free to visit him at the Hawley Arms in Camden on 16 February!
