Keston Cobblers Club return next month with their new album Wildfire and we’ve managed to land the official preview video to bring you right here. Wildfire will be released on June 15, with single ‘Won’t Look Back’ preceding a week earlier. The record sees the five-piece build on the folky sounds of 2012 debut One, For Words by getting caught on the odd synth hook, surfing on some orchestral waves and filling it out with choral arrangements.

“We wouldn’t call it a huge change in direction,” said Julia Lowe. “More an evolution. There’s a signature Cobbler’s recipe that we’ll always follow. That’s strong vocal harmonies, powerful drums, and hooky melodies and these are all still here. But the instrumentation has grown, that’s the biggest difference. Anyone that already knows our music will still be able to hear that Cobblers sound.”

The Club have often found their own way to do things, and are planning a unique launch for the album in the form of Camp Wildfire, designed as a 1950s style camp and ‘Adventure Questival’ in a Kent forest, which will take place from June 19-21. “Music is about much more than just audio – it’s emotion, energy and aesthetic too,” Julia added, “We like to launch our music in a setting where fans can really feel immersed in the idea of the record, so we thought we’d play the whole album in a forest surrounded by the metaphorical Wildfire.”

Anyhow, enough rambling – here’s the preview:
