News | Clap Your Hands Say Yeah announce full European tour

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah

It’s been ten years since Clap Your Hands Say Yeah formed thanks to the combined efforts of a group of friends from Connecticut College and it’s an ode to the band’s survival through group departures and side steps to other projects that when they do make a reappearance the core sound remains as in tact as ever.

It’s easy to recall those heady days of 2005 when CYHSY burst onto the Internet scene, building a hearty backing for their debut album online and winning famous fans in David Bowie and David Byrne and now, on the release and excitement of fourth album Only Run, there’s a return to that early sound.

Front man Alec Ounsworth has always seemed to revel in smaller and more intimate surroundings and set out on a ‘Living Room’ tour earlier in the year as he craved to reconnect with fans in the smallest of settings with his new material.

But now the full band is coming with him for a number of European dates in October including an appearance at London’s Electric Ballroom on the 10th.
