Alessi’s Ark, Left with Pictures and Thomas Truax take to the waves

Propounders of all sounds lovely, Moonshine Jamboree, have commenced a series of musical adventures on the majestic river Thames aboard the good ship Tamesis, a converted barge which has come a long way since its birth in 1930s Holland.  In her current guise as a bar and restaurant the Tamesis will play host to the likes of Alessi’s Ark and Left With Pictures in the coming months (details here).

Next to captain the ship is Thomas Truax, who will climb aboard on Wednesday, 1st July with the Boycott Coca Cola Experience and Thee Intolerable Kidd for a soiree unlike anything you’ve seen before (unless you’ve already seen Truax, in which case you can probably have a good guess). With a gent at the helm who crafts his musical instruments from junk and detritus and has been known to lead entire audiences outside to bark at the moon, this is sure to be a memorable summer night.
The next voyage will see the spellbinding West London songstress Alessi’s Ark take her lovely sounds to the high seas on July 14th, with support from Left With Pictures and new boy about town Tristram. This  one is not to be missed.

The Tamesis is on the Albert Embankment between Vauxhall and Lambeth Bridges within easy walk of Vauxhall tubeTickets for all the events planned so far are thoroughly gettable/haveable/buyable – See Moonshine Jamboree’s MySpace for details.
