FFS recommends: Caitlin Rose

FFS had Caitlin Rose recommended to us by Matt over at Stay Loose, had a chat with Anika about her who’d just discovered her too — through the rather amazing Names Records — and before we knew it we were booking her for our next Allotment show.

The Nashville-based singer-songwriter sings whiskey-soaked pop songs and has recently been signed to Names Records, whose tiny-but-beautiful roster is also home to Alela Diane, Headless Heroes, Music and She Keeps Bees.

Caitlin’s debut EP Dead Flowers is available to stream at Caitlin’s Bandcamp page, where the first track is available to download free, and you can buy the rest.

You can also download Cigarrettes in and Ashtray exclusively over at Anika’s blog. And Caitlin’s cover of Gram Parsons’ Still Feelin’ Blue is a free download here.

FFS and Anika in London are delighted to welcome Caitlin to the Allotment at London’s Betsey Trotwood on 1st December. Tickets are £5 in advance from We Got Tickets. Or £6 on the door. Caitlin will be joined by the lovely Tristram (see his MySpace, watch him play his song Isolde).

Yet more Caitlin Rose magic can be found on her MySpace.
