Antony's top 12 albums

10 August 2009
By Lynn Roberts

Mr Antony Charmers – who runs the very lovely Moonshine Jambouree – was not overly impressed with For Folk’s Sake’s top 12 albums of the year, (I know, how VERY dare he!) so we asked him to put together an alternative list for us. And here it is:

Alessi – Notes from a Treehouse
Sons of Noel and Adrian
Wildbirds & Peacedrums – The Snake
Joe Gideon and the Shark – Harum Scarum
St. Vincent – Actor
Miles Anthony Benjamin Robinson
Animal Collective – Merriweather Post Pavillion
The Horrors – Primary Colours
Euros Childs – Cheer Gone
My Latest Novel – Deaths & Entrances
Darren Hayman – Pram Town
Shoreline – Time Well Spent

Ant and I are yet to fight to the death over whether The Leisure Society or Sons of Noel and Adrian are better, but it’s going to happen. And TLS are going to come out on top.

If you think you can do better than us or Ant post here or email schmercuries [at] forfolkssake.com

It’s gonna be war in TLS SoNA stakes! You just can’t listen to both albums back to back and have any other opinion!? Unless Sons aren’t quite happy enough for you ; – )

Feat. The Leisure Society, Caitlin Rose, Devon Sproule, Darren Hayman and more.
