First Aid Kit announce album release and December gig

We’ve sorted your Christmas with Alessi’s wonderful party plans, and now we’ve found a remedy for the January blues. Sisterly Swedish double act First Aid Kit have announced that their debut album, The Big Black and The Blue, will be released on Wichita Records on 25th January 2010.

First Aid Kit Bandstand Busking this Sunday

First Aid Kit are the latest band lined up to grace the bandstand for a busk, this time at the Arnold Circus Bandstand off Old Street on Sunday, August 2nd. The free afternoon gig will also feature Micachu and the Shapes, David Thomas Broughton and TreeTop Flyers.

FFS first became aware of First Aid Kit thanks to the YouTube video of their beautiful cover of Fleet Foxes’ ‘Tiger Mountain Peasant Song’, which has been seen over half a million times. Following on from its success Johanna and Klara have decided to recording a series of covers suggested to them by their Twitter followers.
